I am so proud to have served my home riding of Vaughan-Woodbridge for three terms as your voice at parliament.

Though the election did not go my way personally, I am proud of our Liberal Party's results and especially seeing Prime Minister Mark Carney leading Canada into the future.

I may not be representing Vaughan-Woodbridge in Ottawa, but I will continue to be active as a Liberal Party member in this riding going forward.

We are experiencing a marked decline ⬇️ in crime across York Region including the City of Vaughan. However, more needs to be done and Prime Minister @markjcarney has the plan to ensure everyone feels safe in their community.

Carney: “We will toughen the criminal code and bail laws for those threatening the safety of Canadians, including making bail harder to get for those charged with stealing cars, home invasion, human trafficking, & smuggling.”

Today’s press conference clearly demonstrates that PM @markjcarney has a plan to move Canada forward by:

✅ Meeting President Trump next Tuesday May 6th.
✅ Appointing a new Cabinet the week of May 12th.
✅ Recalling Parliament with a Speech from the Throne by King Charles III on May 27th.
✅ Enacting a middle class tax cut by Canada 🇨🇦 Day to save middle class families $825, ($4 billion in year one in tax savings for Canadians) and,
✅ Eliminating all Federal Barriers to inter-provincial trade by Canada Day. 👏👏

Applications for the Canadian Dental 🦷 Care Plan (CDCP) are now open for eligible Canadians aged 55-64. Learn more about eligibility criteria at Canada.ca/dental.

Yes, the CDCP is a policy the Liberals and NDP worked together and will benefit over 9 million eligible Canadians. Conservatives voted against the CDCP and did not support the expansion.

Tens of thousands of Vaughan residents will now become eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan 👏👏👏.

Already helping nearly 30,000 Vaughan residents aged 65+ and those with a valid disability certificate the CDCP is a game changer in 🇨🇦’s health care system and for millions of Canadians.
